Dearest FASAVA members: Greetings and Good day!
We have now held seven Congresses to date. As President of FASAVA I would like to show my appreciations to the previous Presidents and past and present Executive members for all their efforts. You have all done a great job to make these events successful!
During the past few years we have not only increased our knowledge but also made many great friendships that will last for many years and span many countries. Our FASAVA Congresses help all Veterinarians in the Asia-Pacific region to learn from each other. It has played a huge role in improving and balancing the level of small animal veterinary medicine and surgery in our region.

Hello! Dear all Asian Small Animal Veterinarians,
On behalf of Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Association I would like to show my great thanks to all your care and support to us. In the meantime, I also want to express my thanks to former General Assembly Presidents for their significant contribution to the construction and development of the FASAVA.
FASAVA was set up in 2007, and the development of Asian Veterinarian industry has been growing global significance. Our contribution and union are receiving more and more attention by the veterinarians all over the world. We hope the Asian veterinaries are able to play a more important role in the world through our own effort. I believe the FASAVA has enough ability to manage the Asian Veterinary affairs and will become a more united group.

Message from the President Dr. Pieter Verhoek
Dear Members,
Welcome again to or newsletter with updates and information from FASAVA Executive Board.
I am pleased to announce that we now have a CPD Director and he is Dr Clement Anthony from Malaysia. Dr Anthony has an extensive history in organising CPD in Malaysia and previously has had a similar role with World Small Animal Veterinary Association [WSAVA] and we are delighted to have Dr Anthony working with us. He has already organised a Dermatology course in Mumbai India and there are more short courses in the pipeline. If you have any requests for FASAVA and Hills Pet Nutrition CPD in your country please contact Dr Anthony directly, or our Secretary.
FASAVA Executive Board is continuing to develop its prime partnership with Hills Pet Nutrition and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Jason Chuei, our Hills Pet Nutrition liaison for his willingness to partner with FASAVA. May this be a long and fruitful partnership for both parties.

Greetings again to all FASAVA members to e-zine newsletter, which we hope you will enjoy.
We have just celebrated the very successful conclusion of our 5th Congress in beautiful Beijing, China. Accolades need to go to Dr Louis Liu and the whole Conference Organising Committee that made the Congress in Beijing a huge success.
The Beijing Small Animal Veterinary Association have been working for many years to make this the biggest congress ever held in Beijing – and it was! We heard from expert speakers from all over Asia and several from USA. We are now looking forward to Taipei in November 2015 and don’t forget to put this in your diaries.

Phillipines Typhoon : Message from the Chairman Dr. Pieter Verhoek
Welcome all FASAVA members to first e-zine newsletter, which we hope will the first of many. This has been the result of the hard work of your Executive since the General Assembly in Auckland 2013.
At the time of writing The Philippines, is recovering from a massive typhoon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to not only our colleagues in The Philippines, but also to all the people affected by the typhoon. May you all strive to get through this tragedy as best as possible.
