On behalf of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association I would like to encourage veterinarians to attend the 2nd FASAVA Congress to be held in Bangkok from the 3rd to the 5th of November 2009. I congratulate Dr. Roger Clarke and his Board members on their initiative to form FASAVA and in so doing enhance the communication and co-operation between veterinarians in the Asia Pacific region. The WSAVA is committed to fostering the exchange of scientific information between individual veterinarians and veterinary organizations and will be supporting this congress by co-organising the Animal Welfare stream. Animal Welfare remains a very important goal of the WSAVA and the knowledge you will gain by attending this congress will assist you in educating the general community so as to promote the health and welfare of small animals in your region of the world.
